When they moved they moved to Atlanta in 1995, Sam and Kathy Cole knew they would be opening a truly unique customer experience. While in California, they owned a mobile detailing business and provided specialized work for vehicles that no one else could service. Sam was known as the ‘go to’ person that insurance companies, car enthusiasts, and body shops, called on to solve their paint or substance problems with cars. However, Kathy also had a passion: a passion for quality coffee and excellent customer service. When Kathy realized how the right coffee could make the car wash experience that much better, the two of them knew that they could combine their passions for the ultimate car wash experience.

And so, on September 8, 1995, California Gold Hand Car Wash and Espresso Bar was born!
